October 8, 2008
We went to the library and Walter was excited about quite a few stories and so we
came home with a lot! Gates and I were really getting tired of Lion King II and Lion King
Best Friends (books). So, whereas Gates isn't normally so excited about the
library adventures that we go on... this time he asked Walter to show him what
we brought home! :) We read two tonight; a Berenstain Bear and a Spot (dog) book.
We also had family home evening. We learned about helping and serving and that
Heavenly Father blesses us when we do. We sang "When we're helping we're Happy!"
As I recall that was a frequent one in our house. :) We also went to the grocery store.
I always come home worn out, hungry, and a little flustered. This time I forgot to get
out the coupons before the checkout. I looked and looked and of course it was during
a busy time and of course everyone is looking at me and of course I'm turning my usual
embarassing shade of red. Well, I gave up. Also, Roger was fussing because
they put the bread right under his nose and Walter had to go to the bathroom. So, I let Walter
go into the bathroom (hoping he wasn't wet and coming out carrying his clothes with a naked
butt because I forgot to bring a spare!) while I opened the already clawed into bread and fed Roger while I waited for Walter. He came out dry and smiling! :) Yea! Then, I gave him a piece while I finished with Roger. When it was gone Roger was fussing for more and I'm telling him we'll go right home so he can have some more then. (none of which he understands) So, we get moving and he is alright. As I'm loading the car a guy is on his break listening to his music. R and B was the type I think. Course, Roger is in the cart looking and of course he is dancing. :)
Well, we get home and Daddy is already there. So, I put groceries away while he plays
with Walter while Roger and I are stuffing down biscuits that I couldn't pass up in the
store. Gates makes dinner and things turn out fine but it takes me all of till almost the
end of dinner to be back to normal.
